Florida

We had a GREAT time in Florida visiting with my family. The trip would only be better if Brooks, Justin, Greg and Jamie could have gone too. I wish we could get down more often. There is nothing better than visiting Mimi's house :)

Tessa LOVES her Aunt Kerry!

Tessa and Jake had a great time searching for their Easter baskets. Jake loved all of his toys and candy, and Tessa liked trying to take Jake's stuff out of his basket.
All of the little ones got to look for eggs at Aunt Terri and Uncle Jay's house. Since most of the "kids" are grown now, there were only three looking for eggs.

Tessa and Jake enjoyed some of the brownie batter after Kaitlyn mixed a batch of brownies.
A big group of us met at Joe's Crab Shack to eat and spend some time together the night before we left. The kids had so much fun playing and eating together. Uncle John taught Jake how to eat crab legs, and Jake loved them. Jake had to show Lia how to "crack" open a french fry.
Tessa enjoyed her swimming in and splashing in the water
Tessa loved to play and hide in the pillows on Mimi's bed

We all took a walk to the ice cream shop near Mimi's house. Tessa LOVED Kaitlyn's strawberry ice cream and Jake loved his birthday cake ice cream and Coke out of a bottle.

Grandpa spent lots of time helping Tessa practice walking down the hall

As most of you know, Greg is in Iraq right now. Here is a letter, picture, and video that he sent us. Thought you might all like an update!

"Hello everybody!! Just thought i'd fill you in once more on the life in paradise. Well it's starting to really warm up here. Soon it will be in the 100s and i'm not really looking forward to it, but i guess the hotter it gets, the closer i am to coming home. The first month and a half have gone by relatively slow. The days fly by but the weeks go slow...kinda strange. I hope you all enjoyed the hyena that was caught on base. There are also foxes and little wild dogs that run around base. The "wadi dogs" as they are called look very much like a mutt that someone could have at their house back home. They are very timid and scared of people and you don't see them very often but you can hear them howl at night. The hyenas on the other hand look very vicious. I haven't seen one yet other than that email, and i hope it stays that way. That's not anything i want to deal with. The job is still the same and starting to get very boring. That is one of the worst things about being here now is the boredom. I still feel very safe on this base, but it does get very boring here. I appreciate all the packages i've gotten and can't wait for more. I hope everyone has a great easter weekend and I wish i was home to celebrate with you.

Cuddle Girl

Tessa just loves to cuddle with anyone that will take the time to do it. Saturday mornings are her favorite when she can cuddle with Daddy when she wakes up. She especially loves to snuggle with Brooks on the couch in the mornings before he leaves for school.

Chilling out at the Ballfield

Jake LOVES going to the JV baseball games to watch Justin coach.
